From 1^st June 2023 the Glasgow City Centre Low Emission Zone (LEZ) came into force. If you’re driving to the SEC via the City Centre you may be subject to a charge, so please check your route and vehicle compliance before travelling

OVO Hydro is conveniently situated for motorists, just off the M8 motorway and with plenty of parking. 

Leave the M8 at junction 19 and join the westbound Clydeside Expressway (A814). Westbound on the Expressway (A814) take the cut off signposted SEC East. Turn left at traffic lights and take the right lane to access multi-storey parking.

Scotland has an extensive motorway network. Glasgow is linked to Edinburgh by the M8 and England via the M74. The M80 connects Stirling to Glasgow, while the M77 connects us to the west coast of Scotland. Traffic Scotland provides up to date traffic and road works information.

Parking

Please note that residential parking cannot be accommodated at the SEC.

Accessible Parking

Designated car parking bays cannot be reserved for individual use. However, if you are interested in a long term parking arrangement please contact 0141 287 2000 or email directly at carparkinfo@glasgow.gov.uk.

The carpark has an accessible walkway attached that takes you directly to the campus. Lifts are available to gain access to each level of the carpark as well as for exiting and entering the carpark walkway making it fully accessible at all ends.

Drop-Off / Pick-Up

Our designated Drop-off/Pick-up zone is located at the west of the SEC Centre. It’s a free, manned service specifically for dropping off and picking up. We offer users a flexible 30 minute stay, allowing you plenty time to accompany friends/family to and from an event.

The service is also in close proximity to a range of on-site facilities - Male/Female/Accessible toilet, baby changing, ATM cash machines, Shop, Box office, and Clydebuilt Restaurant. Our designated Drop-off/Pick-up zone will also allow you to take advantage of the safe, covered walking route through SEC Centre, which takes approximately 3 minutes to reach OVO Hydro.
